RheumaPreg 2025 Vinod Ravindran International Conference on Reproduction, Pregnancy and Rheumatic DiseasestouchREVIEWS in RMD is proud to welcome Dr Vinod Ravindran to our editorial board. With a distinguished background in clinical rheumatology, medical education, and research, Dr Ravindran is widely recognized for his contributions to advancing care and understanding in the field.

Dr Ravindran completed his MBBS at MGM Medical College, Indore, and went on to earn an MD in Internal Medicine from SMS Medical College, Jaipur. He was awarded the MRCP (UK) by the Royal College of Physicians and completed specialist training in rheumatology with a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT-Rheumatology) from the UK, and earned an MSc in Rheumatology from King’s College London, London, UK. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (FRCP) in 2011.

Dr Ravindran’s clinical career includes training and consultant roles at premier institutions such as King’s College Hospital, St. George’s University Hospital, Ipswich, and Maidstone. Currently, he serves as Director of the Centre for Rheumatology in Calicut, Kerala, where he leads comprehensive rheumatology services with a strong focus on multidisciplinary care.

In addition to his clinical leadership, Dr Ravindran has taught medical students from London and Cambridge universities and served as an examiner at the Guy’s, King’s, and St. Thomas’ School of Medicine. He is an Adjunct Professor of Medicine at the Kasturba Medical College, MAHE, Manipal, Karnataka and visiting faculty at the JSS University, Mysuru, Karnataka and MGMUST, Jaipur, Rajasthan, and continues to mentor postgraduate students in these roles.

Dr Ravindran is actively involved in clinical research, particularly in rheumatoid arthritis and reproductive issues in rheumatic diseases. His work emphasizes patient education and improving clinical outcomes, areas that remain central to his approach to evidence-based, patient-centred care. In addition, he has published extensively in the field of medical academic publishing and has taken several initiatives to promote the art and science of scientific writing.

Dr Ravindran is the Honorary Secretary of the Indian Rheumatology Association and an active member of several leading professional organizations, including the British Society for Rheumatology, the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, the World Association of Medical Editors, and the Association of Physicians of India.

With this appointment, touchREVIEWS in RMD gains a highly respected voice in the field. Dr Ravindran’s breadth of experience and commitment to advancing rheumatology care make him an invaluable addition to the editorial team.
