The Canadian Early Arthritis Cohort Study, was a real-world patient study looking at adherence to early DMARD strategies in newly diagnosed rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients seen in routine care. In this touchIMMUNOLOGY interview, it was a pleasure to talk with Dr. Janet Pope (University of Western Ontario, London, ON, Canada) to discuss the importance of patient adherence to therapy in RA, the aims, design and findings of the study and what needs to be done in terms of further study to optimise adherence.
